What began in April 2023 as a power struggle between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has since escalated into a catastrophic displacement and humanitarian emergency. According to the United Nations, approximately 14 million people have been forced to flee their homes, both within Sudan and across its borders, while death toll estimates range from 40,000 to as many as 250,000. The collapse of communications infrastructure and the obstruction of humanitarian access have rendered accurate accounting nearly impossible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recent months have seen the RSF consolidate significant territorial control, particularly in the Kordofan region. After seizing Babanusa in West Kordofan on December 1, RSF forces captured Heglig, one of the key hubs for South Sudan\u2019s oil exports, a week later. Major urban centers such as Kadugli continue to endure relentless shelling and drone strikes, creating siege-like conditions for civilians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This military expansion has been accompanied by direct and increasingly indiscriminate attacks on civilian populations, further deepening the humanitarian crisis. A recent drone strike on the civilian area of Kalogi in South Kordofan killed at least 79 people, including 43 children. Missiles reportedly struck a kindergarten, a hospital, and densely populated residential areas, injuring dozens of women and children. UN humanitarian agencies have warned that violence across Kordofan is intensifying rapidly, driving mass displacement and rising civilian casualties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
