However, a report by a Washington think tank on U.S. policy for 2025 suggests that a stronger Trump government could potentially lead to the full withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and Syria. Furthermore, partial economic sanctions on Turkey due to its Russian weapon purchases could be lifted under a strong Trump administration, as predicted.<\/p>\n Trump’s “America First” policy is also expected to reduce U.S. involvement in European security, potentially leading to a reconciliation between Turkey and Europe. Even if Turkey\u2019s EU accession process doesn\u2019t progress, the EU may start to view strategic cooperation with Turkey more favorably.
