Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian airbase in the Isfahan region in the early hours of the 19th. However, according to reports in the U.S. media, President Joe Biden of the United States, along with foreign ministers from the UK and Germany, emphasized the need to prevent escalation and persuaded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Furthermore, it was reported that the timing of the retaliatory attack was set for the day after Iran&#8217;s attack on the 14th but was postponed. Evaluations also suggest that the focus of the attack shifted to small drones rather than missiles, indicating a calibrated approach to the level of aggression. It can be analyzed that Israel sought to restrain the escalation of war by conducting limited attacks.
