    Iran or Persia is long known as one of the oldest and pre-historic land in the world. Geographically, it is located in a region known as the \u201cCradle of Civilization\u201d, the West Asia. Given Iran has been situated in the juncture of the West and the East, and along the pathway of peoples of different tribes and nations, there still remain footprints of different cultures and civilizations who once plied across this vast land.<\/span><\/p>\n

    As same as the ancient history of Iran, the people of Iran and Korea also enjoy long-standing historical relationship. Iran and South Korea\u2019s long running relationship started with cultural exchanges which date back to more than 1000 years ago, as mentioned in \u201cKushnameh\u201d an ancient Persian epic poem and love story, that can estimate exchanges between Silla and Persia of the Sassanian dynasty in the 7th century.<\/span><\/p>\n

    As mentioned in Kushnameh, the relationship between the two countries is deeply rooted in history. In addition, Iran and Korea are very deeply related not only in culture, history and economic exchanges, but also emotionally resemble each other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    No friendship is an accident<\/b><\/p>\n

    Diplomatic relations between Iran and Korea was established in 1962 and throughout all these years, the two countries have maintained a friendly relationship. <\/span>At the present time, the naming of two beautiful and important streets of Tehran and Seoul in the capital of the two countries reflects the interest and connection of the hearts of the people of Iran and Korea to each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind all the celebrations that take place in Iran, there are philosophies and beliefs, and the manner of holding each one is special and unique. One of the most important festivals in Iran is Nowruz (which was registered as an intangible cultural heritage in UNESCO in 2009), Yalda night, Chaharshanbeh Soori, Sizdeh Bedar. This is while each of the provinces of Iran has its own celebrations and rituals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Nowruz (literally translated New Day) is one of the oldest celebrations in ancient Persia, which is held vigorously in the first day of spring marking the beginning of the Iranian calendar (20 March). Nowruz festivities celebrate the beginning of rebirth of nature and lasts for 13 consecutive days. It is originated from Iran over 3000 years ago which is Celebrated by millions of people in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan, Nowruz is inscribed in UNESCO\u2019s Intangible Cultural Heritage List.<\/span><\/p>\n

It can be said that his poems were read more than any other poet\u2019s poetry throughout the East, Middle and Far East, India, Central Asia, Anatolia, and the Ottoman Empire during last 600 years that constitutes half of the history of Persian poetry and literature. Many writers believe Gothe (German poet), Dante Alighieri (Italian poet), and Andr\u00e9 Gide (French author) are some the western writers and poets, who were influenced and attracted by Hafez\u2019s poems.<\/span><\/p>\n
