Due to simultaneous incidents across Lebanon on September 17-18, 37 people were reported dead and about 3,000 injured as of the 22nd, after explosions of communication devices used by Hezbollah. While the cause of the incident remains unclear, Israel is suspected to be behind it. Negotiations between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza have reached a stalemate, and within the Biden administration, there\u2019s growing skepticism about the possibility of both sides agreeing to a ceasefire. While President Biden emphasized his commitment to achieving a ceasefire agreement, according to a Wall Street Journal report on September 19, some high-ranking U.S. officials believe it\u2019s unlikely that a ceasefire agreement will be reached before Biden\u2019s term ends in January next year.<\/span><\/p>\n
